Scrapbook Page Ideas: Summertime and Vacation Scrapbooking
Prepare ahead of time before a vacation and take some art and craft supplies with you on your trip so your kids can draw some pictures while you are away. Bring paper, scissors, colored pencils, art markers, or watercolors with you for a vacation craft time.

Have the kids draw or paint pictures about their vacation at the beach, the mountains, or a trip to see their grandparents. (These are also good activities for those times they aren’t outside, or if your vacation time has some bad weather.) If you can’t do these craft activities while you are on your trip, have them do this soon after you get back home while the memories of their time away are still fresh. While away, buy postcards and other keepsakes that you can put in your vacation scrapbook. If you are going to be away for a length of time, take scrapbook supplies with you. |

There are some great scrapbook totes and organizers that make it easy to pack up your paper, albums and other supplies when you are on the go. And of course, you’ll have all your photos from the trip to use for your summer vacation scrapbook. Encourage your children to use your digital camera to take their own pictures. Or, buy disposable cameras for them to use while you are on your trip.
Just imagine what a nice gift those scrapbooks would make for an aunt or uncle or for the grandparents!
