New - Made of Lyptus wood - a wonderfully renewable resource in terms of forest preservation - and harder than Oak! The Lyptus Dulce has a natural reddish finish.
Top and bottom canvas holders operate independently of each other. Center mast adjusts independently of the top and bottom canvas holder. Maximum canvas Height is 84".

For Assembly, it is really not hard and actually kind of fun:
Just lay it out like the instructions says.
It is good to have a power screwdriver (or power drill with screwdriver bit, ) and a rubber mallet, (available at Home Depot or any hardware store for $3-$4.)
Wood glue can be used, but it is recommended to first assemble complete without wood glue, make sure it operates right, then you can take it apart and apply the glue piece by piece.
Academy Dulce Floor Easel. This is a truly terrific easel, with a beautiful wood finish, at a fantastic price compared to anywhere! Looks like it costs at least over $300!
