This dust hood attaches to the bed of your lathe (you can either screw it on or clamp it on) and collects the dust you create right at the source. For more versatility, use the sliding bracket. Mount a 2x4 behind and parallel to the bed of yoour lathe, then attach this bracket to the dust hood and it can easily slide up and down the length of your bed. The mouth of the port is 8-1/2" wide by 7-1/2" high and it attaches to your dust collector through a 4" port.
